Our products are proudly made in Shawinigan, Quebec, by a company that has been in the paint industry for three generations.

Laurentide, the parent company of Laurentide Paint, employs over 200 people across four plants in Quebec and New Brunswick, with its head office in Shawinigan since its founding in 1950.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) \u2013 Reducing Impact at Every Stage of the Life Cycle<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) allows manufacturers to communicate the environmental performance of their products across seven key indicators from production to end-of-life. Now widely adopted across North America, EPDs are based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data. Boomerang eco-responsible paints have a CSA-certified EPD, and using them in construction projects can contribute to LEED v4 certification credits under the\u00a0Materials and Resources<\/i>\u00a0category.<\/p>

\u201cBoomerang paints are made from post-consumer paints and packaged in containers made from recycled and recyclable materials.
On average, Boomerang paints contain 43 grams of VOCs per liter, meeting national standards and LEED requirements.

VOC levels are measured using EPA 24 and ASTM D-2369 standard methods.
It\u2019s important to note that these paints are made from post-consumer products with varying VOC levels\u2014materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.

Laurentide Paint is certified Level 3 \u2013 Performance+, showing that the company has achieved advanced status and excellent performance in managing its waste.<\/p>

This certification confirms that the company is responsible, proactive, and committed to sustainable materials management. The AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) standard is a quality benchmark in North America used to evaluate coatings on aluminum architectural products like windows, doors, and curtain walls. For manufacturers of exterior coatings, meeting AAMA standards (such as AAMA 2603, 2604, or 2605) means the paint has been tested for durability, UV resistance, weathering, corrosion, and abrasion. The higher the number, the greater the required performance (2605 being the most stringent).
